Marketing Executive

About the role

Here at fit · bloc, we’re always on the go — join our marketing team and hit the ground running! Gain an in-depth knowledge of who we are, what we do, and how we shape our identity as one #fitblocfam. We’re on the lookout for creative and detail-oriented team players with an eye for design and great communication skills, who can thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Branding and Marketing Executive with a passion for content creation and marketing. As part of the marketing team, your key responsibility includes:

  • Conceptualise, create and post social media campaigns for our brands – fit • bloc / monowrk / boltsquare
  • Producing and designing both print and digital marketing collaterals for online and offline touch-points, ensuring consistency across all platforms
  • Coordinating/execute photoshoots for events, marketing campaigns, and retail launches
  • Post-editing for photos and videos
  • Taking part in brainstorming sessions to conceptualise marketing campaigns and develop content across multiple channels, streamlining communications on online and offline platforms
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of campaigns according to the marketing calendar
  • Maintains familiarity with customer demographics and develops an appropriate look and feel for all collaterals
  • Handle any additional duties or projects assigned by senior management
  • Maintain projects files and archives

The position is a dual role which entails a customer service aspect. The scope of work includes:

  • Familiarising with daily operations to understand the brand and audience better
  • Front desk responsibilities, including welcoming and engaging our guests during the check-in process
  • Providing support to our clients regarding membership queries, bookings, and retail purchases
  • Ensuring the upkeep of cleanliness within the gym
  • Opening/closing shifts

We’re looking for team players with:

    • Diploma in visual communications-related or digital marketing-related course and higher
    • Basic design sense, proficiency in design tools and social media platforms (eg. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
    • Proficiency in Canva & Capcut for social media content creation
    • Proficiency in basic Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), expertise in video editing (Premiere Pro and Aftereffects) is a plus
    • Experience in Social Media Marketing or Visual Communication role
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for your work
    • Possess initiative to learn, pick up necessary skill sets and come up with great ideas!
    • Knowledge of climbing is ideal, but not necessary

Route Setter

About the role

Your wall, our canvas. Join our team of dedicated ninjas as they make magic on our walls! Our ninjas are creative, collaborative, passionate about climbing, and are open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Creating a variety of thought-provoking, challenging, and creative problems on both the boulder and high wall sections that are catered to climbers of all experience levels
  • Forerunning of routes
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of routes across fit · bloc
  • Maintaining handholds and store logistics

Pre-requisites: 

While no prior routesetting experience is required, climbing experience and in-depth knowledge of climbing technique and movement is greatly appreciated. Since routesetting is also a highly physical endeavor, a minimal level of fitness is expected, and you must be comfortable with working with tools and on ladders at a height.

About the role

Your main responsibilities include:

Operations

Manage internal operations within the gym, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the use, care, maintenance, and record-keeping of all facility equipment
  • Understanding and executing the procurement needs to support gym operations and make sound decisions based on a budgeting model
  • Review and enhance existing methods and technologies to improve members’ experience in the gym — this can include but is not limited to improving ventilation or air quality in the facility
  • Upkeeping and overseeing the cleanliness of the gym

Customer Service

  • Front desk responsibilities, including welcoming and engaging our guests during the check-in process
  • Providing support to our clients regarding membership queries, bookings, and retail purchases

As you grow in the role, expect to:

  • Independently leading your operations team, bridging the communications between the crew and upper management
  • Taking charge of establishing and maintaining SOPs relating to the upkeep of gym facilities and cleanliness
  • Heading internal operations within the gym, proposing actionable solutions and new alternatives to existing operating processes

We’re looking for team players who:

  • Are organised and meticulous
  • Ability to manage priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Have prior climbing experience. Prior coaching experience is not required, but will be an advantage. On-job-training will be provided
  • Are sociable and comfortable with working groups of clients

About the Role

Your key responsibilities include: 

Customer Service

  • Executing front desk operations and managing backend clientele, membership, and subscription matters
  • Assist with acquiring leads and maintaining membership channels, particularly through establishing partnerships with schools and other external stakeholders
  • Implementing consistent customer service standards and communication protocols across all front-facing crew members
  • Familiarise yourself with our community and provide exceptional customer service to our clients, providing support to our members regarding membership queries, bookings, and retail purchases

People Management

  • Work closely with HR to oversee, monitor, and eventually manage the front-desk operations team, ensuring that all crew members perform up to task in maintaining the highest service standards

Operations

  • Manage internal operations within the gym, including but not limited to the upkeep the cleanliness of gym facilities

As you grow in the role, expect to:

  • Independently lead your own team of Customer Service Specialists and all front-facing crew members, bridging the communications between the crew and upper management
  • Take charge of establishing and maintaining stringent customer service protocols and customer-facing communications that are in line with the brand’s objectives
  • Head internal operations within the gym, proposing actionable solutions and new alternatives to existing processes relating to client management

We’re looking for team players with:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage and resolve conflicts among clients, and provide appropriate solutions to the situation at hand
